Looking forward to my first time at your festival. Have visited there several times. Will be visiting the museum and church in hopes for finding more information on my grandmother who grew up in or around Odessa. If anyone has information about the Goede family or the Sener (Zehner) family please send me an email, any information would be appreciated. My grandmother was Ann Elizabeth Goede (Sener). Her mother was Elizabeth Goede. Thanks. Francie

I will be bringing my husband for his first time to this years event. My sister lived in Odessa from 1981 to 1984 and I came to the Fest each year. This will be my first time back since and I look forward to the food and festivities.

We have been to the Fest a few times. We come to Odessa to get away from the Wenatchee light dome so we can do some night sky observing with our telescope. It is my favorite place to observe. We stay outside Odessa and get very dark skies. Nice that you don't have to light up the night sky.

In memory,
I recently learned of the passing of Florence Schlimmer. I was blessed to have met grandma on her 80th birthday.
I'm sure she will be truly missed by her family and friends of Odessa and the surrounding commuities.
With deepest sympathy,
Rob Bell

Born in Odessa, I was 9 years old in 1969 when my family left to move to TN.
After graduating school there I moved to TX. I've been trying to return to Odessa for a visit. It would be nice to be there during Deutschesfest. If I make it this year, I hope to see all of you then.
