My father, Edwin Schmauder was born and raised in Odessa. His parents were William and Lizzie (Hardung) Schmauder, both early residents to the area. I would like to contact the Museum re: possibly donating family scrapbooks to their collection?

Gonna give it a try on Sunday. We hear so much about it from Lois. Maybe Dennis and Lois will let us park the motorhome at their place?

I look forward to coming back to Odessa for the Fest on Friday September 16th. I was there for the 1st Fest in 1971. I had just arrived in July and was ordained in Odessa at the English Congregational Church on the 12th of September 1971. I look forward to being back in the community where my children were born and where we spent nine happy years with some very wonderful people. See you at Fest Doug

OMG I have been doing the fest weekend since I was 23 and I am now 37. It was a great weekend. New friends and new memories! I am sad it will be my last one for a very long time. I now live in Oklahoma and won't be back to Waashington for many years. So keep up the tradition and can't wait to be back to join in the fun

have been to the Deutschesfest in the past and enjoyed it. Remember Verna and Al making pickles for the fest. So glad to see the pictures of Museum and that their windmill is still there.
bless you all!
